Faculty Member (rank to be determined) and Clerkship Director
A rare and outstanding opportunity for a highly motivated person to come join our education leadership team. We are searching for a Clerkship Director for the required 4th year Emergency Medicine Clerkship at the Feinberg School of Medicine of Northwestern University in Chicago, IL. The emergency medicine clerkship is consistently rated as one of the best clerkships of the 4th year and provides our MD and PA students an amazing opportunity to care for patients in a Level I downtown urban academic environment.
The clerkship director is responsible for the oversight, implementation, and delivery of the 4th year clerkship. They will be responsible for ensuring compliance with LCME requirements and working closely with the medical school curriculum deans to ensure an exceptional learning environment for our students. Additional responsibilities include mentorship of the Emergency Medicine Interest group and working closely with the Department of Emergency Medicine education leadership team and medical school office of student affairs to mentor students applying into emergency medicine. Additional opportunities within the department will be available based on applicant background and interests.
The ideal candidate will have experience in either UME or GME leadership and have demonstrated success with teaching in an academic environment, education scholarship, and curricular innovation. Applicants will be employed by Northwestern University and Northwestern Medicine and must be board certified and will require a license to practice in the state of Illinois.
