About us:
Our fellowship is a one-year, EUFAC accredited program designed to train emergency physicians to advance ultrasound in Emergency Medicine. We are based at a high acuity, Level 1, academic medical center with a mission to serve the complex care needs of the State of Oregon. To serve that goal our institution also includes 3 community hospitals (Adventist Health Portland, Hillsboro Medical Center, and Columbia Memorial Hospital) each serving unique urban, suburban, and rural populations.
Our section includes 10 full time ultrasound-trained faculty members with a diverse set of interests including education, research, community practice ultrasound administration, pediatrics, limited resource/global health environments, and regional anesthesia. Fellows also have the opportunity to work closely across disciplines with our general medicine ultrasound fellowship which trains IM and FM ultrasound fellows.
