The Department of Emergency Medicine at Prisma Health – Upstate is seeking a Board-Certified Emergency Medicine Physician to join the department and serve as the Division Chief of Emergency Ultrasound. Academic rank will be determined by the qualifications and background of the successful candidate. Applicants who have achieved a FPD-AEMUS as well as meet criteria for the rank of Associate Professor or Professor are preferred.
The Division Chief will lead the Department’s ultrasound operations, administrative, and scholarship missions in addition to supporting the educational programs which include a EUFAC-accredited advanced emergency medicine ultrasound fellowship program, an ACGME-accredited Emergency Medicine residency training program, and the onsite University of South Carolina Greenville School of Medicine. The Division has successfully achieved CUAP accreditation for multiple EDs and implemented workflows that enable ultrasound image electronic medical record (EPIC) integration. The current Emergency Ultrasound Division has fellowship trained and FPD-AEMUS faculty and is looking to further expand the expertise, experience, and growth of the Division.
Clinical responsibilities include patient care within the Emergency Departments staffed by our group including Greenville Memorial Hospital, an academic medical center with >100,000 patient ED visits annually.
